    GEORGE JOHNSON
    WOODSHOP FOREMAN



    George Johnson has been working for Blatts Pattern Shop for over 21 years. Before he worked at Blatts he worked in a foundry. His knowledge base is not only of the pattern side of our business it is of the foundry side of this business as well.

    Because of this knowledge base he is capable of teaching all of his staff the best and fastest way to accomplish their jobs. He is in charge of a staff of 5 men with a combined knowledge base of 40 years just at Blatts Pattern shop.

    George Johnson is capable of understanding all jobs that are brought into our shop. He is capable of helping every customer with any of your wood working needs.

    When it comes to our Wood Shop we can proudly boast about it being one of the best in the country without blinking an eyelid.

    Our Wood Shop workers have a combined experience of over 4 decades of Wood Shop work and together combine knowledege and skills from both the Pattern Shop and Foundry sectors of our Industry. With all this experience our workers are more than able to hold tight tolerances.

    We pride our selves in being able to reproduce existing parts, for example:.ornamental fences, antique car parts, etc.

    Our Wood Shop offers many skills and services including:

    We can make patterns from blue prints and we also reconstruct used pattern equipment to meet today's needs.
    We build wood forms for street cement barriers.
    We set up patterns for various foundries.

    We use the following materials to make our patterns:

    Mahogany
    Pine
    Plywood
    Aluminum
    Steel
    Urethane .
